I hope that's only temporary or I'll go nuts. All those files I uploaded there are worthless to you folks :(

Time to find another host that is immune to all the FBI scares.
Damn, this is way too stupid...

Wayne, here's something which won't sound like music to our ears.

This is just in. The FBI scare is now a contagion that has spread through the ranks of Fileserve, FileJungle and UploadStation according to Techspot. They have all taken the same steps while the latter two have already communicated that they will ban all US IP addresses (good measure eh)!

Not least of all, other filehosts such as the very user-friendly 4Shared, FilePost & Uploaded.to have turned to radical measures such as suspending bogus accounts and deleting all copyrighted material without warning.

As it stands, only RapidShare - the often loved and loathed behemoth - remains the only 'filehosting superpower' not to have taken any measure of its own... for now.

There's no easy solution I think. Even if RS seems not influenced by now, it's nothing like a safe haven if people start to go back to RS.
Not to mention it has a "bad" history.

The most secure way of storing files turns up to finding some places where FBI can do nothing about, or to some places that don't give a shit about the US and the FBI. Anyone knows a good host in North Korea?

anonyupload.com might sound interesting.

It's servers are set up in Russian, with ftp access.

There are also tons of locker services in China, but it's a shame that the transfer is too slow.

Thanks for the reminder. But I think anonyupload never states that it's affiliated with anonymous.

So, that brings us back to the bygone pre-filehosting era i.e before 2005.
No captchas to type, no need for long countdowns to download, hmmm... I can't believe it's been nearly 8 years since Koobe went live

And what about bayfiles? Turns out it also based in Hong Kong.

Why do all these cyberlockers choose HK as their hives?

Rapidshare posted this on its facebook page:

Quote

Hello RapidShare fans. After the shutdown of Megaupload, we have noticed an increase of traffic on our website. This increase might result from new users who were curious about our site after we were mentioned in the media or from people who have used other services before. We welcome everybody looking for an innovative, fast and secure cloud storage provider. We welcome everyone who wants to store and manage files in an easy way. But we don’t welcome any users who intend to abuse our service in order to illegally share copyrighted files. We will not tolerate any kind of abuse of our services. Your RapidShare team

What a clever move to make itself innocent

Hmmm... so everything's legit for uploading on Fileserve now? Come on.
Am not too sure how much has changed in their Terms and Conditions.
